Being so, the legendary local grapes, such as Primitivo, Malvasie and Negroamaro, grow side by side with Chardonnay, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon with their IGT Salento and/or Puglia.

Walking through the stupendous countryside one can marvel at wonders like the Oria Castle, expanded by King Federico II of Sweden in 1225 or the Madonna Gallana Church, that according to legend was built by Carlo Magno’s wife Galerana, in the VIII century. In every season of the year the folklore of these places astonishes tourists because of their variety of expressions.
